We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

In signing this manifesto, I stand witness to the changes in thinking, management practices and growth of knowledge and efficiency spawned by Agile. The need for this is now and it has been sufficiently spelled out for all to adopt and implement easily. Thank you.

Robert Burrell Donkin: (http://robertburrelldonkin.name) Looking back, my life in the 00's revolved around the Agile and Open Source movements. Exciting and challenging times playing counter-culture rebels. Now that these ideas are mainstreaming, the challenge of the 10's seems just as big and exciting: how to scale into the mass market whilst preserving that which made Agile successful and special. Interesting times.
Kullah Anderson: I have several years of project and change management experience. Though, I must say it has been of a traditional nature. And, I have not been directly involved in software development per se. With that being said, the Manifesto speaks volumes, is intuitive and "feels" attractive, even fun. I definitely am in support of it and the behaviors it implies.
