That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

I have work closely with many companies that embark in expedition to consolidate development to department to achieve savings, thus cementing themselves in a cycle that prevent creativity and innovation. Embracing agile leads to better software, greater flexibility, and measurable innovation, faster.

Michael Sparks: There's agreeing with the principles in the agile manifesto, and then there's getting it viscerally. For example, if your back is up against the wall to deliver, and you're faced with someone who values the right over the left, you need to operate on the basis of left over right - or else you *can't* deliver. It's at that point you really get it viscerally I think.
