We are uncovering better ways of developing
software by doing it and helping others do it.

Dr.Lawrence Harold: (http://drlawrenceharold.in) I support the cause and motivation behind Agile Software Development . sazakir. | Tom Harrison Jr: (http://tomharrisonjr.com) Early in my software career I consulted companies that followed prescriptive, rigorous, rule-driven methodologies. This resulted in projects that missed schedules, failed to deliver on what customers wanted, and removed human intelligence from the process of creating something.
I came in to these companies demonstrating a new idea, a precursor to Agile known as RAD. We communicated, then came back within a few hours or a day with something the customer could look at and respond to. The customers asked us "Why haven't we been doing this all along?"
In the years since, my teams have adopted the principals of Agile, for the most part. When we reverted to traditional waterfall methods, no one was happy. With Agile, we were consistently able to collaborate, deliver incrementally, demonstrate real progress, and most important, provide a reliable prediction. Everyone was happy.
Agile is misunderstood. It is the anti-methodology. If you are feeling constrained, confused, wary or doubtful about adopting Agile, look carefully here on this site: Agile is an idea about how to communicate -- nothing more. Or less. Balaji: I fully endorse the AGILE Manifesto Individuals and interactions over processes and tools Working software over comprehensive documentation Customer collaboration over contract negotiation Responding to change over following a plan Gary Alan Morris.
